During her 31 year career in education, Sue Z. Beers has been a middle and high school teacher, technology coordinator, and school administrator. She is currently the Director of the Mid-Iowa School Improvement Consortium, which serves over 110 schools districts in Iowa. Sue has worked with over 400 school districts in the areas of secondary reading strategies, effective teaching, Dimensions of Learning, student assessment and school improvement. She is co-author of:

Reading Strategies for the Content Areas: An ASCD Action Tool, Volumes I and II

Using Writing to Learn Across the Content Area: An ASCD Action Tool
 
and two new ASCD Action Tools in the areas of
Designing and Implementing Professional Development Programs
(Published March 2007)
and
Literacy Across the Curriculum
(anticipated publication in the Spring of 2008)
